Chris Torrence
Chris Torrence is a software engineer and software development manager who specializes in creating applications for the scientific community. As the Software Development Service Group Manager, he is responsible for managing a diverse team of computer scientists and scientific programmers, as well as overseeing the development of web applications and back-end data pipelines for cryospheric data. Torrence is also a member of the NSIDC leadership team, where he represents the needs of the software development team and helps guide the strategic direction for the center.
