RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Dr. Correia is currently the HydroMeteorological Testbed (HMT) Coordinator at the Weather Prediction Center, supported by CIRES at CU Boulder. He has extensive experience working in NOAA testbeds, a space to test and demonstrate new technologies, data, or techniques, for the last 12 years. He spent 8.5 years in the Hazardous Weather Testbed Spring Forecasting Experiment mining Convection Permitting Models (CPM) using object based techniques to quantify multivariate storm properties (storm based model climate) as it related to severe weather.
